After a month of packing, painting, used furniture scouting, and countless trips back and forth from our old house to the new, we are finally moved in! We have a couple rooms that are actually set up and feel livable, while the rest are still a mess of boxes and loose household goods. The most important room, the kitchen, is finally completely functional and this has made such a huge difference in allowing us to feel human again! There’s nothing better than a hot, home-cooked meal straight out of your own kitchen. After a month of take-out, we’ve been relishing our home-made pad thai, green goddess pasta, portabella mushroom sandwiches, baked root veggies, and other delicious favorites.
Somehow it’s March already! Time is flying by! Baby is due in about 2 1/2 months. Believe it or not, spring is also on its way, which means we need to start planning for our garden and our chickens. So much to do and so little time! We’ve made the rounds through several seed catalogs and have a general plan for what we’ll be growing this year. There’s just nothing better than spending a quiet evening leisurely perusing the seed catalogs, dreams of the perfect garden dancing in your head. There’s no weeds, no failed crops, no pest problems, just a beautiful, bountiful garden and baskets of fresh delicious food! And that’s exactly what the garden be, right? 🙂
Time to get a move on. Be back soon!
